 About the competition

The business plan competition was first organized in 1999 as a joint project of the Graduate School of Management, SPbU (GSOM) and Professor Godwin Wong (Ph.D. from Harvard University; Professor at the faculty of Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, USA). The business plan competition has been held at the Graduate School of Management, SpbU for the last 18 years and, over these years, it has become a good tradition.

The main goal of the competition is to stimulate and nourish student entrepreneurial spirit, encourage entrepreneurial activities among students from any major, and examine students’ business ideas for their realization capacity.

Every year we receive large number of applications from talented people who present their unique business ideas. The XVII Annual Student Business Plan Competition was held in November 2015 and became one of the most successful in the history of the competition. 157 business plans from 40 cities and 65 universities from Russia and abroad were accepted for participation in the competition.  The number of participants equaled to 411 people. We hope that the XVIII Business Plan Competition will improve these records!

We invite students to take part in the competition!
