The Faculty's history
 
  • 1901: School of Commerce founded by local merchants as the first independent, city-financed School of Commerce in Germany
  • 1919: the School of Commerce co-initiates the reopening of the University of Cologne together with Konrad Adenauer, Mayor and later Chancellor of Germany
  • it turns into the "Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne"

  • The Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences is the largest in Germany, with around 9,000 students
