Admissions Tests

International applicants can be admitted to SPbU both to places on a fee-paying (contractual) basis and to places funded by the Russian Government (on references from the Russian Federation Ministry of Education). The English Language Test

This written test is a counterpart to TOEFL. The available TOEFL or IELTS, FCE/b (CAE), BEC V/b (BEC Higher) certificates with the set minimum scores are accepted for this admissions language test. You can learn more details about the transfer of tests results at the relevant section of the SPbU Admissions Committee website. There can be awarded 100 score to the applicants who have successfully completed an educational program of the previous educational  level (eg. a program with obtained Bachelor or Specialist degree ) in English (see here

  • Minimum score for TOEFL iBT/IELTS certificates in 2015 accounted for 80/6,0
  • Average score for TOEFL iBT/IELTS certificates in 2015 accounted for 101/7,0.
 

 

Management and Business English Test

This written test is a counterpart to GMAT. An available GMAT certificate with the set minimum scores is accepted for this admissions language test.  

Average score for GMAT certificates in 2015 accounted for 631.

Business Communication in English: a written essay and a personal interview

The essay and the interview are to reveal an applicant’s motivation for studying and achieving set goals, leadership and entrepreneurial skills, creativity, as well as analytical and communicative skills, innovation drive, international focus, ethical business standards, cultural background and business communication in English. 

 

 

How to Prepare for TOEFL, IELTS, FCE (CAE), BEC and GMAT:

 

When taking TOEFL independently please specify the GSOM SPbU code for TOEFL 0583. Your test scores will be sent to the Master Programs Office during the following 5 weeks.  

 

For individual testing please specify the GSOM SPbU code for GMAT 92X-X6-84. Your test scores will be sent to the Master Programs Office during the following 5 weeks.
