Course Description:

Corporate Finance is the required finance course, designed to cover those areas of finance that are important to all managers whether or not they specialize in finance.  The objective of this course is to provide a rigorous introduction to the fundamental principles of asset valuation and financing, to provide students with understanding of the basic theoretical principles of finance and practical tools of financial decision-making.

At the conclusion of the course the student should be able to evaluate investment projects, value securities, measure the cost of capital, assess company’s financial performance and company’s value, and understand how to link corporate governance to corporate finance decisions.

Topic 2. Valuing Debt Securities. Bonds Valuation and Interest Rates.

Topic 3. Stocks Valuation.

Topic 4. Risk and Return. Capital Asset Pricing Model.

Topic 5. Cost of Capital.

Topic 6. Long-term Financial Decisions: Investment Valuation.

Topic 7. Financial Statements Analysis and Corporate Valuation.

Topic 8. Corporate Governance. IPO.
