Goals and objectives:

 

This course aims to develop a critical understanding of how to manage and assess intellectual capital in order to support business performance improvements and drive company value creation. The course provides the fundamental insights in order to develop an understanding of the conceptual background of the knowledge-based view of the company and equips students with practical approaches, frameworks and tools to design implement and assess intellectual capital management initiatives. Overall, this module provides a clear and interesting treatment of how managing intellectual capital can enhance the value creation capacity of companies.

The contents of this course are gathered from different sources. For this reason there is not one specific book that students can use as a handbook. However there’s a list of articles that should be covered by the students and in addition there are few textbooks that are considered as highly relevant to be considered as information support.
