Double degree Master programs

Double degree programs give students at GSOM a unique opportunity to get an international experience and become the happy holder of two master degrees: SPbU Master in Management and the degree of one of one of three strong European business schools: HEC-ParisWU-Vienna or LUT-Lappeenranta.


The Selection process for the double degree programs is constructed on a competitive business among first-year Master in Management (MiM) Program students. 

 

Master in Management and International Business in cooperation with HEC-Paris (France)

HEC, Paris time and again has been listed as the best European business school on the European Business Schools Financial Times ranking. The Double degree Program in cooperation with HEC Paris is designed for students looking for International Management studies practical business environment experience.

 

Program duration —1 year, taken in the second year of studies in the Master in Management (General Track) Program. 

 

The graduates obtain two degrees: Master of Science in Management of St.Petersburg University and HEC Paris Master of Science in Management.

 

Extra requirements for competition participants:

  • TOEFL – not less than 100 iBT (95 - score for the GSOM TOEFL-based test)
  • GMAT – not less than 630 (97 - score for the GSOM GMAT-based test)
  • Average grade point for the first semester of the year not less than 4.0.

Master in Information Technology and Innovation Management in cooperation with Lappeenranta University of Technology (Finland) 

Lappeenranta University of Technology is specialized in Technology and Management, where scientific research and academic education is successfully combined in both spheres.

 

Program duration —1 year, taken in the second year of studies in the Master in Management (General Track) Program.

 

The graduates obtain two degrees: Master of Management from St. Petersburg University and Master of Science Master in Business Administration from Lappeenranta University of Technology.

 

 

Extra requirements for competition participants:

  • TOEFL – not less than 80 iBT (50  - score for the GSOM TOEFL-based test)
  • GMAT – not less than 500 (50 - score for the GSOM GMAT-based test)
  • Average grade point for the first semester of the year not less than 3.5

Master in International Business in cooperation with Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria)

With about 23,000 students from Austria and abroad, WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) is the EU's largest educational institution in the field of business. WU prepares tomorrow's executives for their role as organizational leaders. The program combines theory, practice, and instruction in relevant social skills, for an integrated approach to organizational leadership. Also highly important is the consistent organizational planning of strategy implementation, and management control.

 

Program duration —1 year, taken in the second year of studies in the Master in Management (General Track) Program. 

 

The graduates obtain two degrees: Master of Management from St. Petersburg University and Master of Science in Strategy, Innovation & Management Control of Vienna University of Economics and Business.

 

Extra requirements for competition participants:

  • TOEFL – – not less than 100 iBT (95 score for the GSOM TOEFL-based test)
  • GMAT – not less than 600 (92 score for the GSOM GMAT-based test)
  • Average grade point for the first semester of the year not less than 4.0

Students selected for Double degree spots for their double degree will not have to pay additional tuition at the partner university. Please note that Double degree students at HEC must pay the same annual registration fee that is paid by all full-degree students at HEC (in 2014-15 was 750 Euro). Furthermore qualified students who do not win Double degree tuition-free spot can apply for admission for Double degree on a favorable fee-paying basis.
