Evgeny Yu. Blagov, Assistant Professor, Information Technologies in Management Department of GSOM SPbU has joined a working group of the NTI (National Technology Initiative) 2.0 Foresight in the EduNet market, in the area of Creation, personalization, envelopment and technological development of the educational content for all ages, including shifting focus to the development of personal competencies. The Foresight NTI is conducted by the Agency of Strategic Initiatives (ASI), “NTI Platform” and “University 20.35”, which are all autonomous non-profit organizations, along with the Russian Venture Corporation (RVC).
At the Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg University (GSOM), the first career counseling program based on coaching tools - “Go for Coaching” has completed. The program was launched by the GSOM SPbU Coaching Center in the fall of 2019. “Go for Coaching” was attended by 27 Senior Bachelor, Master and recent alumni of the School.
On May 22, 2020 Liudmila Kokoulina (GSOM SPbU 3rd year doctoral student) has presented the results of the research within the framework of her doctoral thesis on the topic “Human factor in knowledge creation processes in the innovative company”. Her Scientific Advisor was Tatiana A. Gavrilova, Doctor of Computer Science, Professor, Head of Department, Information Technologies in Management Department.
On May 23, 2020, the Nobel laureate, Honored Professor of the Business School named after Haas University of Berkeley, Honorary Doctor of St. Petersburg University Oliver Williamson was gone. Professor Williamson was rightfully considered one of the most famous classical institutionalists and stood at the origins of the creation of the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg University.
On March 20, 2020, the final lesson of the “Design Your Life” program was held at GSOM SPbU, organized by the Coaching Center for students of the first and second year Bachelor programs. At the heart of the program is an approach developed at Stanford University to design life and career, based on design thought methods.
On May 14-15, 2020 Andrei Panibratov, Professor of Strategic and International Management, and Marina Latukha, Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior and Personnel Management, took part in the 5th Emerging Markets Inspiration Conference (EMIC) “Globalization, business and society in pandemic times ”, organized at the Stockholm University School of Business on the Zoom platform.
The Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM), together with representatives of the GSOM Advisory Board, are developing a course on training line managers for corporations. The educational course will become one of the pilot projects as part of the updating of the Business School Strategy until 2025, one of the key tasks of which is to actively interact with the member companies of the Advisory Board in the training of qualified management personnel.
On May 20, Sofya V. Kosheleva, professor at the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg University (GSOM), held a webinar entitled “Stress! What to do? (anti-stress management)." Sofya Kosheleva talked about the nature of stress, diagnostic methods and methods for overcoming stress.
On May 18, 2020 Aleksandra Bordunos, GSOM Doctoral program student, has presented the results of the research as part of her doctoral thesis on the topic: “Role of work systems in legitimating organizational decisions about Human Resources”. Her Scientific Advisor is Sofia V. Kosheleva, Doctor of Science (Psychology), Professor, Organizational Behavior and Personnel Management Department.
The Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM) has begun cooperation with the Center of Competencies for the Development of the Urban Environment of the Leningrad Region. Students of the programs “Public Administration” and “Master in Urban Management and and Development” will do a summer internship at the Center, where they can apply their managerial competencies.
