On July 7, 2020 Yury Ev. Blagov, Director of the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility named after I. PricewaterhouseCoopers of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) joined the online meeting of the Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development of the Association of Managers dedicated to business activities in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) summed up the results of the 2019-2020 academic year. On July 15, 151 bachelors and 129 masters received congratulations from the administration and faculty on the occasion of their successful graduation from the business school. During the year, GSOM has risen in the rankings, successfully transferred all academic processes online while making significant progress in the development of its digital educational environment, and has made progress in its efforts to achieve the coveted "triple crown" of business education accreditation.
Alexandra K. Bordunos, a third-year Doctoral student at the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU), has published research on how effective strategies for supporting employees with children and building relationships in the company team can affect their career development after parental leave. Her research supervisor was Sofia Kosheleva, Professor of the Department of Organizational Behavior and Personnel Management.
On May 28, 2020, the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM) hosted the first online defense of a thesis by Kazimir P. Yablonsky on the topic “Evaluation of the effectiveness of medical organizations”, which was submitted for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences. After his successful defense, Mr. Yablonsky was awarded the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.
On May 22, 2020 Liudmila Kokoulina (GSOM SPbU 3rd year doctoral student) has presented the results of the research within the framework of her doctoral thesis on the topic “Human factor in knowledge creation processes in the innovative company”. Her Scientific Advisor was Tatiana A. Gavrilova, Doctor of Computer Science, Professor, Head of Department, Information Technologies in Management Department.
Galina V. Shirokova, professor at the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg University (GSOM), together with colleagues from the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, Canada, and the LUT School of Business and Management, Finland, have conducted a study to identify which company strategies are most effective in the crisis.
From April 13 to 18, 2020, the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University hosted the first week-long educational module of the "Healthcare Management" professional retraining program, implemented as part of the Presidential Program of Management Training of the Russian Federation (Presidential Program)
