On December 1, 2021, the results of the next year round of the ongoing project Leaders of Corporate Philanthropyproject implemented by the AGO Donors Forum in cooperation with the Kommersant Publishing House and EY in Russia were summed up. Within the framework of the project, an analytical report “Strategies for corporate philanthropy: current state and development trends” was presented, prepared by the expert group of the PwC Center for CSR, , including the Director of the Center, Associate Professor Yury Blagov; Researcher, Associate Professor Anastasia Petrova-Savchenko; and also a young researcher, master program student Yekaterina Kosmacheva. In addition, Yuri Blagov became a member of the project jury.
“The conducted research suggests that in 2016–2020 corporate philanthropy of the respondent companies mainly developed as a strategic one. Engaging in charitable activities for predominantly economic reasons, the companies set themselves the goal of solving specific social problems, as a rule, in the context of increasing the stability of business and developing the regions of presence, " says the final part of the analytical report.
The Leaders of Corporate Philanthropy project, initiated by the Donors Forum in 2008, is the largest national initiative in the field of corporate philanthropy, implemented on an annual basis. It includes a ranking of companies, charitable programs competition and an analytical research. Center for CSR at GSOM SPbU is a traditional academic partner of the project.
