Experts of the CSR Center of GSOM SPbU presented an analytical report, "Corporate Charity Strategies: current state and development trends". The authors include Yury Blagov, Director of the Center, Associate Professor; Anastasia Petrova-Savchenko, Researcher, Associate Professor; Ekaterina Kosmacheva, a first-year student of the Master in Management program.
The report is presented as part of the annual round of the ongoing project "Leaders of Corporate Charity" implemented by the Association of Grant-giving Organizations "Donors Forum" in cooperation with the Kommersant Publishing House and the audit and consulting company EY in Russia.
"The conducted research suggests that in 2016-2020, the corporate charity of the respondent companies mainly developed as a strategic one. Being involved in charitable activities for mainly economic reasons, companies set themselves the goals of solving specific social problems, in the context of increasing the sustainability of business and the development of the regions of presence," mentioned in the final part of the analytical report.
The project "Leaders of Corporate Charity”, initiated by the Association of Grant-giving Organizations "Donors Forum" in 2008, is the largest national initiative in the field of corporate charity. It includes ranking companies, competition for charitable programs, and conducting analytical research. GSOM SPbU CSR Center is a traditional academic partner of the project. The director of the Center, Yury Blagov, is a jury member.
