On April 8, 2022, students of the Executive MBA program at the Graduate School of Management St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) received their diplomas. In the Main Hall of the campus of the Business School on Volkhovskiy per, 3 "Gaudeamus igitur" was performed in their honor by the St Petersburg University student choir.
The alumni of the program are 20 top managers and owners of large and medium-sized businesses with an average management experience of 13 years from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Belgorod. The group had to study during the difficult period of the pandemic, and therefore the training period was extended by six months.
“When I wrote my introductory essay three years ago, I complained about the “hunger for innovation” in my work and the need to change the company’s established approaches to team management and deal execution, organization of the workflow, methodology for finding and choosing optimal solutions, and communication with colleagues and partners. Studying at GSOM SPbU gave the answer on how to do it. A balanced academic program and an excellent faculty allowed me to properly rethink the experience already gained, contributed to the acquisition of new knowledge and competencies, helped me look at familiar business processes from a different angle and unlocked additional professional and leadership potential. And, of course, it's all about people! During my studies at the Business School, I was lucky to meet and communicate with many new interesting people, real experts in their fields, meeting with whom also significantly influenced my personal and professional views. I am sincerely grateful to GSOM SPbU for my deep knowledge and new friends!” said Vladimir Mazilov, an alumnus of the program, Deputy Head of the Department, Head of the Logistics and Gas Storage Department of Gazprom Export.
The next Executive MBA group will start classes in December 2022. The duration of the program is 2 years. During this time, students will study 27 academic disciplines, have training and business simulations. The training ends with the defense of a group certification project.
