Private investment in publicly owned infrastructure through Public- Private Partnerships is a key priority for many developing nations. By now, significant PPP experience in the field of transport has been accumulated in the Russian Federation. For decades, St. Petersburg has followed PPP best practices with award winning and successful projects that have received international recognition. St. Petersburg is proof that Russia is and will continue to be a domestic and international partner for cooperation and investment in the PPP market.
Now the time has come to accelerate the implementation of PPPs in Russia by understanding best practices and lessons learned. The internationally recognized Graduate School of Management of Russia’s oldest University, the best business school in the Russian Federation, hosts the Center for PPP Studies which is acting in close cooperation with decision-makers in Russia and the United Nations. For last years, the university with its domestic and international partners has created a high level academic learning environment for successful PPPs.
This new professional training program has been developed by the Center in close cooperation with the United Nations International PPP Center of Excellence, the Institute for Public Private Partnerships (IP3), and the Government of the Netherlands, will bring you the latest insights on infrastructure development through PPPs.
