NUS Business School, National University of Singapore (Singapore)

The NUS Business School is the Business School of the National University of Singapore (NUS), and a leading Business School in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific Region. The 2009 Financial Times MBA Ranking placed NUS Business School 5^th  in the Asia-Pacific and 35^th in the world, while QS Global 200 Business Schools 2009: The Employers’ Choice Survey listed NUS Business School as the third most preferred business school from which to recruit MBA graduates in the Asia-Pacific.

 

NUS Business School, as it is called today, was established in 2002, although its history dates back to 1961, when Business Administration was first taught as a subject in the then Department of Economics in NUS. Four years later, in 1965, the Department of Business Administration was set up to meet the growing needs of a formal business education in Singapore. In 1969, it was merged with the Department of Accountancy, and the School of Accountancy and Business Administration was formed. Faculty of Business Administration renamed School of Business in 2002.

Accreditations

NUS Business School has consistently been given top rankings in the Asia-Pacific region by independent publications and agencies such as The Financial Times, Economist Intelligence Unit, and QS Top MBA, in recognition of the quality of its programs, faculty's research and graduates. In its 2009 rankings, the University of Texas at Dallas ranks faculty's research No. 2 in Asia and 52^nd  in the world on the basis of research output. The Financial Times ranked NUS Business School's Asia Pacific Executive MBA program 11th in the world, the highest ranking ever achieved by any business school in Singapore. It ranked the NUS MBA 35^th in the world. QS Global 200 Business Schools 2009: The Employers' Choice Survey rated NUS Business School graduates third in the Asia Pacific. The  has two accreditations: AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditations for its business and accounting programs. The school is a member of PIM (Partnership in International Management) and CEMS (Global Alliance in Management Education) international associations.
