On April 25, the training cycle began on the advanced training program “University of General Director. Level 2” for PJSC Rosneft.
On April 18, Ph.D. student Louisa Selivanovskikh has presented the results of her doctoral thesis research on the topic: “Influence of talent management practices on a firm’s absorptive capacity in the context of emerging markets”.

On April 18-19 Severstal & GSOM SPbU Bootcamp was organized. Students, staff, alumni and Sevestal employees worked in teams solving business problems and taking part in design thinking workshops. At the end of the second day eight teams presented the results and jury that was formed by Severstal representatives choose the best solutions. The winners got a fast track for Severstal leadership program and certificates for mentor meetings with company executives
On April 16, Quacquarelli Symonds published its Executive MBA Rankings by Region 2019: Europe. GSOM SPbU EMBA program became the only Russian program included in this list
On April, 11 “University of General Director” corporate educational program for PJSC Rosneft has started. It is the forth advanced training, provided as a part of the strategic partnership between GSOM SPbU and PJSC Rosneft.
On April 9, University staff and faculty participated in meetings with the Adviser to the Director General for Innovation Development of Aeroflot Andrey Polozov-Yablonsky. Meetings were held at GSOM SPbU campus at Volkhovskiy 3 and at the Faculty of Sociology. Participants discussed the cooperation of the air carrier with SPbU research groups.
On April 5, 2019 Dmitri Sokolov (GSOM SPbU 3rd year doctoral student) has presented the results of the research within the framework of his doctoral thesis on the topic: “Human resource management systems in knowledge-intensive firms”.
On April 18-19, at “Mikhailovskaya Dacha” campus Severstal & GSOM SPbU bootcamp will be held. Bootcamp is a collaboration between one of the largest metallurgical companies Severstal and GSOM SPbU within the framework of the transformation of management and educational practices. Participants will be able to work on solving business problems of Severstal in teams with the employees. Within two days, design thinking workshops and practical solutions development sessions will be organized for them. Basing on the results of the work, the organizers will select three best projects.
On April 4, 10th Northern Dimension Forum took place in St. Petersburg. Head of School Konstantin Krotov, spoke at the first panel discussion on the results of the Forum’s tenth anniversary. He covered this topic from the point of view of business education in Russia.
