21 June 2023
Research seminar “General need assessment for retailer reverse logistics systems” will take place on June 21, 2023, 18:00 – 19:00 in English online. |
Reverse logistics is an operational field that is severely underutilized by many retailers, despite the many benefits that it can bring through direct and indirect means. A multifaceted methodological framework is proposed – GNARRLS (General need assessment for retailer reverse logistics systems) for analyzing if a reverse logistics system is an economically viable option for a retailer in cases where only a forward-facing logistics system is in place. Calculations that comprise a cost/benefit comparison are used as well as measures that reflect the immaterial benefits that reverse logistics usually bring a retailer. Parts of the proposed methodology can be used for analyzing current retail reverse logistics systems as to their economic efficiency.
