In its relatively short history, The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, has established itself as one of the leading business schools in the world and one of the top-ranked U.S. business schools.
Fuqua enrolled its first class in 1970. Today, the annual enrollment in Fuqua's degree programs is more than 1300. These programs include The Duke MBA - Daytime program, The Duke MBA - Global Executive program, The Duke MBA - Weekend Executive program, The Duke MBA - Cross Continent program, and the PhD program. A Health Sector Management certificate is available in the Daytime, Global Executive, and Weekend Executive programs.
In 2008, Fuqua became the world's first truly globally distributed business school, launching an initiative to establish campus locations in cultural and economic hubs around the world: London, England; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Shanghai, China; St. Petersburg, Russia; New Delhi, India; and Johannesburg, South Africa. The global expansion is fortified by the interdisciplinary resources of Duke University: the Duke University School of Law, the Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy, the Nicholas School of the Environment, the Duke University School of Medicine, the Pratt School of Engineering, and the Duke Global Health Institute.
As a renowned research center, Fuqua counts among its faculty leading authorities in finance, management, accounting, economics, marketing and strategy. These thought leaders are generating the ideas that will provide solutions to the issues that shape our time: providing access to health care, protecting the environment, addressing socioeconomic inequity.
Fuqua attracts a unique sort of students, people who are interested not only in advancing their careers, but who also want their studies to be socially relevant. Fuqua students are globally focused, with a determination to develop as leaders infused with character and compassion - to become leaders of consequence.
