On the 6th of September GSOM SPbU held a public lecture of Anatoli Karlovski - managing partner of PwC office in St Petersburg, the head of the audit services department. The lecture was held as part of the module for master students «Doing business in Russia».
It was devoted to the problem of doing business in Russia. Anatoli Karlovski emphasized the specific facts and figures, describing the situation in the different sectors. So, Anatoli suggested that the economic crisis contributed to open up and develop new production, stressed the importance of the decentralization trend for the Russian business. Certainly, the speaker paid attention to St. Petersburg - the cultural center of Russia, highlighting the fact that this year the city had a record number of tourists. Besides, Anatoli mentioned that St. Petersburg is an important transport node, has a high concentration of chain stores and praised the local dairy products. |
Students were given the unique opportunity to ask questions directly to the expert. They were interested in the state of agriculture, the importance of IT technology and the degree of state interest in IT development, legal aspects, taxation nuances, promising industries for the running business in Russia.
«Doing business in Russia» is an educational module for master students, in which they listen to lectures by known experts in the field of business, visit large international companies and in fine present their own business project.
