The Center for Russian Multinationals and Global Business GSOM SPbU organized an online round table "Economy, politics, and culture: Three pillars of the Sino-Russian business relationships". The event was held within the framework of the eighth international scientific event “Emerging Markets Conference 2021”.
On October 1, 2021, Yury Blagov, Director of the PwC Center for CSR at GSOM SPbU, took part in the First International Eco-Summit "Siberian Perspective", organized by Norilsk Nickel with the support of the National Council for Corporate Volunteering, the Russian Managers Association and the “Protected Areas Embassy” charitable foundation. The key topics of the summit, which took place in the Krasnoyarsk Nature Reserve "Bobrovy Log", were the preservation of biodiversity and the development of corporate volunteering of an ecological orientation.
Natural science knowledge and critical approach promise to become the essential competencies of managers responsible for the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) area in companies. This opinion was expressed by Olga Dergunova, Deputy President-Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank, Director of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) during the discussion "Where and how to study ESG in Russia and the world?" at the Congress of Responsible Business ESG–(R)Evolution, organized by the RBC.
Rosneft, a business partner of Saint-Petersburg University (SPBU), opens up a registration on the case championship which will be held on the 30th of October, 2021. Only Bachelor programs students of the 3rd and the 4th years and Masters programs students of the 2nd year who are currently studying in the Graduate School of Management SPBU and in Institute of Earth Sciences SPBU can enroll. Participants of the championship will be able to apply for 15 targeted scholarships.

After graduation, many GSOM SPbU students are planning a career in the field of consulting, and preferably with the “big three” — the largest international companies: BCG, McKinsey, and Bain. Today we would like to tell you about the opportunities provided by the first of the above-mentioned giants of consulting. Over the past five years, BCG has recruited 17 alumni of the Business School.
