The article is devoted to the role of intellectual capital and its elements in shaping the resulting performance indicators of Russian manufacturing companies. The sample included 240 Russian producers whose intellectual capital was estimated through questionnaires of managers during the period from January to March 2015 using questionnaires developed and tested in an international context.

The study allows concluding that it is expedient for production companies to concentrate on the development of structural capital, i.e. on the creation of convenient and effective information systems, the introduction of tools that provide interaction and communication between employees, and the careful cataloging of organizational knowledge for convenient general access to them.
