On the 6th of April, the 3rd St.Petersburg Conference on Corporate Volunteering took part in GSOM SPbSU. The conference was organized by the Russian Managers Association and the National Council for Corporate Volunteering.

 

 

The purpose of the Conference in the Volunteer’s Year in Russia was to discuss the possible ways for business-society-state partnership development through the corporate programs and governmental policies, and to identify the technologies for the employees’ involvement into the social work. The conference was attended by more than 80 representatives of companies, NPOs, governmental bodies and research centers.

 

The Conference program included plenary session on the business opportunities and HR perspectives in the Volunteer’s Year, workshop on the development of the corporate volunteering projects in the North-West region, and the TED Talks on the inspiring stories of the corporate volunteering.

 

Conference started with the welcoming address of Konstantin V. Krotov, Deputy Director of GSOM SPbSU. Yury E. Blagov, Director of the PwC Center for CSR, made a presentation on the role and place of corporate volunteering in corporate social performance and moderated the TED Talks. Vadim V.Nefedyev, 4th year bachelor student of GSOM SPbSU, described the experience of GSOM Charity projects.
