GSOM SPbU will participate in SPIEF-2018

St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2018) will be held from May 24th  to May 26th. Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University will take part in this event and will be represented at the VTB Bank exhibition stand.



This year, on VTB Bank exhibition stand will be installed an interactive panel. By using it guests can select an appropriate GSOM SPbU educational program. If there are any questions students — GSOM ambassadors — will explain the details of each educational area. Also guests can go on a virtual tour to the campus “Mikhailovskaya Dacha” and feel the spirit of GSOM SPbU. They will also have an opportunity to take photo with Freddie-the-owl.

Moreover on May 26th the Youth Economic Forum will be held for the first time. GSOM SPbU will organize three panel discussions:


Head of the Marketing and Advertising Department of VTB Bank Viktor Shkipin will talk about the most promising marketing tools and the creation of successful marketing campaigns. Head of GSOM Department of Marketing Maria M. Smirnova will moderate the discussion.

Managing Director of Zyfra Company Pavel Rastopshin will discuss the criteria for the success of AI in business. He will cover such questions as: Which are the main areas that could benefit from using AI? Will the AI specialist be the profession of the future? Professor, Head of GSOM Department of Information Technologies in Management Tatyana A. Gavrilova will moderate the discussion.

Executive Director of Charitable Foundation “Old Age for Joy” Andrey Konstantinov will talk about the potential for charities and philanthropists to improve people’s quality of life. He will cover such questions as: Is Russian society ready to play an active role in the charitable sector? What skills are important for young professionals who want to pursue a career in the non-profit sector? Associate Professor, GSOM Department of Strategic and International Management Yury E. Blagov will moderate the discussion.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum has been held since 1997. Last year the main theme of the SPIEF was technology trends. This year participants and guests will discuss the construction of the “confidence economy” in Russia. It is expected that Forum will visit more than 15,000 people.
