From May 24 to May 26 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2018) was held in St. Petersburg. Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University was represented on the stand of VTB Bank. GSOM SPbU presented the results of the logo redesign, took part in signing the agreement with Coca-Cola HBC Russia and organized three discussions at the Youth Economic Forum. 

 

 

First public talk was about charity. Executive Director of Charitable Foundation “Old Age for Joy” Andrey Konstantinov and GSOM Department of Strategic and International Management Associate Professor Yury E. Blagov discussed the potential for charities and philanthropists to improve people’s quality of life. One of the main conclusions of the conversation: the demand for social responsibility in the world is growing. 

 

The topic of next discussion was artificial intelligence. Managing Director of Zyfra Company Pavel Rastopshin and Professor, Head of GSOM Department of Information Technologies in Management Tatyana A. Gavrilova were talking about prospects of using AI in business. Pavel Rastopshin told about the research conducted by consulting company Gartner which specializes in information technology, and concluded that in the next five years the business will start using artificial intelligence 10 times more.

The third public talk was about marketing. The Head of the Marketing and Advertising Department of VTB Bank Viktor Shkipin and the Head of GSOM Department of Marketing Maria M. Smirnova discussed the most promising marketing tools and the creation of successful marketing campaigns.

  

Moreover on May 24, thanks to the work of GSOM SPbU Career Center, a cooperation agreement was signed between Coca-Cola HBC Russia and the St. Petersburg State University. Senior Vice-rector of St. Petersburg State University Ilya Dementyev and CEO of Coca-Cola HBC Russia Stefanos Vafeyidis signed the document. In the ceremony took part the vice-governor of St. Petersburg Vladimir Kirillov.
