For the first time five SPbU subjects were included in Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (ARWU) 2018. One of them is Management. In this category Russia is represented by GSOM SPbU and Higher School of Economics. They both are in one ranking zone (401-500) and were included for the first time.

 

ARWU is one of the most prestigious and one of the most hard world rankings. It uses five indicators to rank world universities: scientific efficiency (PUB), citations index (CNCI), international cooperation (IC), number of articles published in scientific journals (TOP), number of alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals (AWARD).

 

Here are the results of SPbU in field of Management: PUB — 29,3, CNCI — 51,3, IC — 88,2, TOP — 8,9, AWARD — NA. To compare here are the results of Harvard which is in the first place: PUB — 82,3, CNCI — 72,6, IC — 63,7, TOP — 95,1, AWARD — NA. On international cooperation, GSOM SPbU is ahead of the ranking leader.

 

This year in Global Ranking of Academic Subjects were represented 54 subjects in natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences and social sciences. A total of more than 4,000 universities were ranked. Seventeen universities from Russia were included.
