On October 11th, GSOM SPbU professor Andrei Yu. Panibratov participated as a key speaker at the international conference Outward investment from emerging economies at Copenhagen Business School (CBS). He presented a report on the topic: “Russian MNCs and the role of the state”.

In his speech, Professor Panibratov described the most characteristic features of the development of Russian multinational companies (MNCs), pointed out the sources of their competitiveness, discussed non-market ways of forming competitive advantages of Russian MNCs, and proposed a number of additional directions for the development of this research topic.
On October 12th, at a meeting with editors, Andrei Yu. Panibratov as a member of the editorial board presented the Journal of East-West Business and a special issue of the journal “Internationalization of Russian economy and firms”. In the meeting with editors also participated Peter Gammeltoft (Journal of International Management), Alvaro Cuervo-Casurra (Global Strategy Journal), Axel Giroud and Ram Mudambi (Journal of International Business Policy), Peter Ping Lee (Management and Organization Review) and Ilan Alon (International Journal of Emerging Markets).
This year The Outward investment from emerging economies conference took place from October 11 to October 12. Among the key speakers were: Alvaro Cuervo-Cazurra (Northeastern University), Axele Giroud (University of Manchester), Ilan Alon (University of Agder), Lourdes Casanova (Cornell University), Ram Mudambi (Temple University), Ravi Ramamurti (Northeastern University).
