Margarita A. Gladkova, Academic Director of the Master’s Program in Business Analytics and Big Data, has published  an article on the Rusbase Young website, where she has discussed what opportunities the university offers for employment in the IT industry, how to prepare to internships, how to succeed in the selection process and receive an invitation for an internship, and after that — a job offer.

 

Students with a specialization in IT must naturally use every available opportunity to achieve professional success in this field. For students, career events, lectures and workshops by guest speakers, mentoring programs, practices and internships are available.

 

Contrary to popular belief that a student should forget about what he or she was taught at the university once they have landed a job, it is precisely their educational program which can give them the necessary knowledge and skills. “Before you apply for an internship in the IT field, remember what you were taught in soft skills training at your university, and remember to  update the knowledge gained in your technical courses — SQL and Python will definitely come in handy if you do an internship as an analyst,” — advised Margarita A. Gladkova.
