Karina Bogatyreva, Ph.D., Senior Lecturer at the Department of Strategic and International Management, has been appointed Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU).
“The Center for Entrepreneurship of GSOM SPbU has a solid reputation as a successful research organisation, the goal of which is to systematize and develop knowledge about entrepreneurship through research and teaching. The work of our team will undoubtedly be aimed at maintaining and strengthening the center positions in these areas. The main change will be the creation of a platform for interaction between students and business representatives in order to support student entrepreneurial initiatives, develop their entrepreneurial thinking and prepare them for the possible choice of such a career path,” said Karina Bogatyreva.
Among the new initiatives of the Center for 2020-2021 there is the creation of a start-up studio, uniting entrepreneur-alumni of GSOM, who serve as mentors for students with entrepreneurial aspirations and ideas for their own business projects. In addition, a tracking school (training in professional support of projects to achieve goals more quickly) will be launched, along with new research initiatives based on the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor and empirical data on Russian entrepreneurial firms.
