On November 23, 2020, Yury Blagov, Director of the PwC Center for CSR GSOM SPbU, took part in the section Russia - France: Dialogue between Business and NPOs — Expanding the Boundaries of Corporate Volunteering on the IX Moscow International Forum Corporate Volunteering: business and society. The Forum was organized by the Russian Managers Association and the National Council for Corporate Volunteering (NCCV). The international pharmaceutical company Servier was the partner of the section. 

 

 

In his speech, Yury Blagov noted that the interaction of Russian business with NPOs continues to develop mainly within the framework of corporate charity, which receives new development incentives in connection with the transformation of the corporate sustainability model.  "In addition to the traditional competencies of “operators in the social sphere,” NPOs should develop managerial competencies that allow them to “speak the same language with business”, actively interact with social entrepreneurship, create effective “platforms”, offering businesses a variety of partnership options, including volunteer projects. Supporting NPOs, as such, is not the goal of corporate charity, but it is NPOs that can become the most important link in partnerships that allow businesses to become more involved in solving urgent social and environmental problems within the framework of the global UN SDGs agenda«», — said Yury Blagov in his speech.
