Anastasia Chechkova and Margarita Efremenkova, students of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU), received personal scholarships from Gazprombank. High academic achievements and active extracurricular activities were the main assessment criteria.
The selection took place in two stages. The first was organized inside the Business School. Applications for participation were submitted by 17 students, of whom four made it to the next round. At the final stage, Gazprombank experts analyzed the questionnaires and conducted online interviews with applicants.
“The scholarship is the support of young professionals, recognition of their successes, achievements, and personal qualities. It is a great honor for us that among the winners there are students of GSOM SPbU. We would like to thank the Gazprombank team for their assistance to talented, motivated and enthusiastic students. It is these investments that are long-term social investments in the future,” said Yulia Aray, Academic Director of the Master's Program in Management during the ceremony.
The fellows, Anastasia Chechkova, a second-year Master student in the Corporate Finance program, and Margarita Efremenkova, a fourth-year Bachelor student in the Management program, scored the highest average score in academic performance, actively participate in organizing GSOM SPbU events - GSOM Family Day, Management Career Week and Drucker Awards.
The scholarship program has been operating at the Bank since 2006. Personal scholarship is a one-time payment of 60,000 rubles. This year 41 studentsfrom 12 universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg have become scholars.
