The Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) has been named the best Business School of the Year in the nomination of the Smart Pyramid 2020 Award, which is awarded for achievements in the field of education and human capital development.

 

“We have considered the limitations that this year brought as an opportunity for growth and qualitative changes and then relaunched the approach to GSOM SPbU development, by updating our strategy. The support of corporate partners has helped us to cope with all the related difficulties and tasks. For the Business School, such support is very important: working closely with business representatives allows us to create educational products that are useful to managers at all stages of their career development. We would like to thank all our partners and the entire GSOM team for their well-coordinated work,” said Director, MBA and Executive Education Programs Leonid Vasiliev during the award ceremony.

 

Business School of the Year is a new of the award. Its appearance, according to the organizers, was dictated by the changes faced in 2020, during which academic institutions were carrying out an important transformation in approaches to teaching, cooperation with corporations and the development of new products.

 

The SMART Pyramid Award was founded in 2019 by the Organizing Committee of the HR Directors Summit. This year the award was presented in eight caegoriess: "Best corporate education project", "Best corporate training program", "Best online training program", "Best digital solution of the year for corporate training 2020", "Best EdTech company of the year", “Business Coach of the Year” and “Business School of the Year”. Products and projects of Russian Railways, Norilsk Nickel, Severstal and others are among  the winners.
