Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) conducted the case championship — GSOM Call 2020 MyWay with participation of 49 teams of the leading universities of the country. The partner of the event was a travel company MyWay.

 

Bachelor and Master students from MSU, SPbU, HSE, PRUE, SUM, RANEPA and other Russian universities have participated in the championship. The first place was taken by the third-year GSOM SPbU Bachelor students, team BM-21 that consists of three members: Denis Martynov, Evgeniy Musohranov and Artem Mufazalov. The second place is divided between Plague off(ITMO University) and Oh my case (GSOM SPbU), third place — Alle Stelle (SPbU team). Participants, who have sent a solution for the second stage, will receive certificates for the trips from MyWay company, and the winners — a trip to Baikal in February 2021.

I would like to wish everyone to be not afraid and begin to participate in case championships at the earliest possible opportunity: it would be helpful, primarily in practical terms of working with a particular company on the real challenge. All teams that have reached the final, suggested unique and viable ideas on the development of the company», — pointed out member of the jury, Candidate of Science (Economics), Assistant Professor, Department of Strategic and International Management GSOM SPbU Anastasia Laskovaya.

 

The case championship was carried out for two weeks and consisted of two stages. The task for the participants was to devise the development strategy for a travel company, shape options for entering the international market and development on local B2B and B2C markets. The company considered the best suggestions and implemented them in practice.

 

Travel company MyWay is a team of professional alpinists, rescuers, climbers on the highest mountains on Earth, photographers and sportsmen, who help the clients to find, prepare and make a trip.
