The first stage of the Modern Manager Olympiad, organized by the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) in partnership with the University 20.35 has been completed. Of the 1704 participants in the first stage of the program, only 107 high school students will be in the finals.

“This year, a record number of participants applied for participation in our Olympiad, and we are very glad that so many high school students are active and have passed the Olympiad entry level tests. For them it is a great opportunity to test their strengths, to get acquainted with the profession of being a manager and with the Business School even before entering. And for us it is a good way to get to know our potential students in advance, to establish contact with them and finally, to attract the most talented and active future leaders of modern business,” said Vitaly Mishuchkov, Director of Bachelor Program Office.

Among the finalists after the first stage, 107 participants won the right to participate in the Finals. Of these, 77 students were also awarded prizes. They will take part in the final of the Olympiad on February 22, 2021. The final will be conducted online.

For applicants for admission to the Business School, participation in the Olympiad is an opportunity to receive an additional five points toward admission to GSOM Bachelor programs in 2021, once they have successfully completed two stages — the qualifying round and the final tests.

For all participants of the Olympiad and for other students wishing to get acquainted with the management profession, an open lecture on “soft skills” is available. The materials are collected on the basis of the Steps University 20.35 educational collection service. As part of the lecture, GSOM SPbU experts  offered webinars on management, business, social entrepreneurship and leadership.
