The Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) has successfully conducted another academic program for business practitioners, External Lecturer’s Toolkit, developed jointly with VTB Bank and Moscow City Pedagogical University (MGPU).
The goal of the program is to help experts translate their experience into an effective practice-oriented educational product. The result is training courses based on the industry experience of business practitioners, developed by experts with the support of educators and methodologists.
Six mixed teams consisting of GSOM SPbU lecturers and representatives of Russian and foreign companies went through lectures and practical classes, consultations and project development. Among the final works there are projects of courses for GSOM SPbU master's and bachelor's programs:
• Data Governance is for the updated Master in Business Analytics and Big Data (MiBA) program (taught in English)
• Audit & Assurance, Performance Management & Decision Making, Infrastructure & Project Finance is for the updated Master in Corporate Finance (MCF) program (taught in English);
• Analytical tools in supply chain management is an updated course for the bachelor's program;
• Management is an updated course for the bachelor's program.
Representatives of VTB Bank, VTB Capital, Baltika Breweries, “Pioneer” Group of Companies, PwC and Lotte Hotel St. Petersburg took part in the development of new courses.
The academic program for External Lecturers is being implemented as part of the GSOM SPbU Development Strategy until 2025.
