The Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) and Northern Capital Gateway LLC (Pulkovo Airport) held a Pulkovo Marketing Camp. The event brought together 30 Bachelor and Master students of the Business School. 

 

Pulkovo Marketing Camp is the first joint educational project of GSOM SPbU and Pulkovo Airport. In four weeks, students completed a course of several modules: airport positioning, work with airlines, preparation for a meeting with an airline (route analysis, work with clients - legal entities, etc.), support and promotion of the airport, and others. After each module, the participants completed practical tasks, as a result of which they could receive an invitation to a summer internship, a business breakfast by Leonid Sergeev, General Director of Northern Capital Gateway LLC, mentoring sessions and certificates to the airport business lounge. 

  

“The joint project with Pulkovo is the first course of its kind that allowed GSOM SPbU students to immerse as much as possible in the field of aviation commerce. It is quite difficult to do this within the curriculum, so such projects with the participation of industry experts are of particular value. In addition, as part of the course, students had the opportunity to work with practice-oriented cases with interesting insider information from Pulkovo and receive mentoring support, ”sais Ksenia Golovacheva, Assistant of the Marketing Department of GSOM SPbU. 

  

Two teams of winners will undergo a flight internship: Alexander Gorshunov, Darina Abdulkerimova, Anna Mazanova, Anastasia Khomenko, Dmitry Fefelov, Irina Makarkina, Daria Gorshkova (second-year Master students) and Darina Student (fourth year Bachelor studenys).

In a short time, they were able to assimilate, analyze and visualize a large amount of data. We were seriously preparing for the course, but I can say with complete confidence that it was worth it.
