On April 8, 2021, experts from the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) will take part in the XII Northern Dimension Forum, which brings together representatives of the government, business community and civil society of the EU, Russia, Norway and Iceland. The Forum was jointly organized by GSOM SPbU, the Northern Dimension Business Council, the Association of European Businesses and the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management.
This year, the Forum will be attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko, Ambassador of the European Union to the Russian Federation Markus Ederer, Director for Relations with Foreign Governmental Bodies Yandex.Go / Uber CIS Maxim Kozlov, Chairman of the Committee for Tourism and Foreign Relations of the Administration of Veliky Novgorod Olga Vasilieva, Ericsson President for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Sebastian Tolstoy and others.
The theme of the event is "Connectivity now: Boosting flows of people, information, energy, goods and services." The program includes six main sessions:
Konstantin Krotov, Head of GSOM SPbU, together with Rolf Jansson, President and CEO, VR Group; Co-Chairman of the Northern Dimension Business Council (NDBC) and Alexey Mordashov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Severstal, will take part in the wrap-up and vision for the coming session of the Forum. The moderator will be Andrey Sharonov, President of the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management. Panel sessions on "Transport and Logistics" and "Creative Industries" will be held with the support of the GSOM SPbU: Business School, the experts of which who are directly involved in the formation of the roundtable program, and will also prepare a final expert document based on the results. Its publication is scheduled for the end of April.

The Northern Dimension is a joint policy developed byn four equal partners — the European Union, Russia, Norway and Iceland — regarding the cross-border and external policies geographically covering North-West Russia, the Baltic Sea and the Arctic regions, including the Barents region. Its goal is to strengthen stability, economic cooperation and economic integration, increase competition and maintain sustainable development in the region.
