The Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU), together with a member of the GSOM Advisory Board, Sibur, is launching a series of free webinars for participants in the Modern Manager Olympiad. The seminars are devoted to soft skills.

   

“Launching online courses together with Sibur at the final stage of the Olympiad will allow high school students to acquire the knowledge they need, regardless of their chosen direction of study. Teamwork tools, communication and self-development will help students in their further professional and personal development. We are glad that this year the participants are supported by Sibur, which understands the importance of building leadership potential at the early stages of building a career, ”said Vitaly Mishuchkov, Director of Bachelor programs.

   

The webinars started in February and will continue in March. The following online lectures are available to participants:

On March 5: Self-Confidence Improvement Techniques (available in Russian only)

On March 12:  Teamwork: Simple Actions for Effective Teamwork (available in Russian only)

On March 19: Emotional Resilience: Tactical and Strategic Techniques for Ensuring and Enhancing Emotional Resilience (available in Russian only)

   

“In a rapidly changing world, high learning ability, critical thinking and project management are important competencies. Together with partners and leading universities in the country, we are laying the foundations for these soft skills in students now and we are adapting the corporate training system at the enterprise after the employment of these alumni. As part of the online modules, we are happy to share our expertise with the course participants and, based on the results, we are waiting for these young people at our programs for young professionals,” said Yulia Vorotnikova, Head of the Division for working with universities and schools at SIBUR LLC.

   

 Participants of the Olympiad, who will successfully pass two stages - the qualifying round and the solution of a business cases, will be able to receive an additional five points when applying to the GSOM SPbU Bachelor programs in 2021.
