On June 23-25, 2021, the fifteenth international conference on “Game Theory and Management” (GTM2021). The conference is organized by St Petersburg University jointly with the International Society of Dynamic Games.
Co-chairs of the organizing and program committees of the conference is Nikolay A. Zenkevich, Associate Professor, Department of Operations Management, Academic Director of the Master in Corporate Finance of the Graduate School of Management (GSOM) SPbU and Leon Petrosjan, Professor, the Head Mathematical Game Theory and Statistical Decisions, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics - Management Processes, St. Petersburg University.
Robert Aumann, Israeli mathematician and professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, recipient of the 2005 Nobel Prize in Economics for Expanding Understanding of Conflict and Cooperation through Analysis in Game Theory, will speak at the conference on Synthesis of Behavioral and Classical Economics.
“Mathematics is a science that shapes systematic thinking. I believe that without immersion in mathematics, you cannot and not only in management but many in a large number of professions that are considered humanities. GSOM is proud that it is a co-organizer of the scientific conference on game theory and management that attracts reputable international experts and world stars. This year, Nobel laureate Robert Aumann will speak to the conference.
He has enriched the scientific understanding of conflict and cooperation through mathematical analysis using game theory. His scientific interest is aimed at the challenges of long-term strategic cooperation. Today, the topic of partnership is relevant as never before and we are glad that our professors and students will be able to hear the newest information about the research in mathematical economics directly from the luminaries of science” - noted the Deputy President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board, GSOM SPbU Director Olga Dergunova.
At the conference, plenary reports will also be presented by an outstanding specialist in the theory of differential games, Professor David Yang (Hong Kong) and Professor Ehud Kalai (USA), known for his contribution to game theory in interaction with economics. In total, 93 reports were announced for the conference. The conference will be held online in English.
