A graduation ceremony was held at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbSU). 162 Bachelor, 98 Master and six Doctoral students received their diplomas.

In the parting speech to the alumni, Olga Dergunova, Director of GSOM SPbU, noted that during the period of these students' studies there was a transition of all education process to online, but the difficulties in restructuring programs are only part of the real life of the constantly changing world, for which the Business School team has been preparing students for several years. Olga Dergunova paid special attention to the fact that the graduates will forever remain a part of the GSOM Family.

“Be aware that the GSOM Family is always waiting for you. Return to Business School as students, faculty members, guest lecturers, corporate partners or sponsors. Come back with ideas, advice, doubts and your experiences — this connection and exchange of experience is very important for future generations of students. Your professional achievements will determine how our partner companies, our economy and, therefore, our Business School will develop. Good luck, guys, regardless of what happens tomorrow — we will work online or offline, it will be very hot or rainy” said Olga Dergunova, Director of GSOM SPbU.

Representatives of companies - corporate partners of the Business School also joined the congratulations:

• Georges Shimanov, Secretary General of L'Oreal Russia;
• Elena Topolskaya, consultant, Boston Consulting Group, San Francisco, mentor of the Talent Up! Program,  an alumna of Bachelor and Master degrees at GSOM SPbU;
• Alena Strygina, Senior Director, the Beauty Sector, P&G Eastern Europe;
• Andrey Afonin, Bank of Russia University.

“A Business school and university, even the most advanced ones, are the timetable and the rules. Many of you will start your careers in large companies, but it is important to remember that there is an ocean of opportunities, and you must be able to not be afraid to make a decision and deviate from the beaten path. Answer yourself to the question, what does it mean for you to live a happy life in general, what would you like to have time for during life. Be honest with yourself and decide what your personal formula for success is, ” Elena Topolskaya, consultant at Boston Consulting Group and graduate of GSOM SPbU, wished the Bachelor students in her speech.

The ceremonies were held in a mixed format at the Mikhailovskaya Dacha campus. Alumni were able to attend the event in person, and their parents and friends could follow the broadcast in the Student Club or online.
