A workshop Teaching in business school. Dos and don'ts of the teaching process ”for the teaching staff of the updated Master in Corporate Finance (MCF) program of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) was conducted by Alexander Andrianov, Co-head of the working group on its modernization, and Elena Orlova, Associate Professor, Teacher of the Language of Professional Communications.
The meeting was held in a hybrid format on the Mikhailovskaya Dacha campus. It took place as part of the preparation of the Business School for the new academic year.
“Although our teachers have outstanding professional experience, academic degrees and international qualifications in finance from ACCA, CFA and CIMA, their teaching skills need to be continuously developed and improved. We support practicing teachers by providing them with the opportunity to undergo the “Toolkit of a Business School Teacher” training, as well as providing mentoring support in the development and conduct of MCF courses”, — Alexander Andrianov.
The creation of an advanced team of the business school is one of the priority directions of the development strategy of GSOM SPbU.
The Business School's Master program prepares leaders in corporate finance and investment management with proficiency in analytical tools, financial and investment analysis skills, and experience in solving business problems in finance. MCF is accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Students who entered the Business School from September 2021, in case of successful completion of the curriculum, will receive an official transfer in nine disciplines of the certificate.
