On September 22, 2021, a round table "New International Environmental Agenda and Strategies of Multinational" will be held, organized by the Center for Russian Multinationals and Global Business of the Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU).
The event will start at 18.00 and will be held on the Zoom online platform. The round table is dedicated to the transition to a ‘clean’ (carbon-free) economy — the main topic on today's ecological policy agenda. The European Union (EU) and China have already presented extensive plans to seriously reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the planet's atmosphere. The EU is also going to drastically reduce the use of fossil fuels for energy. New taxes on imports of goods and products from countries with high emissions of CO2, methane, and other harmful substances into the Earth's atmosphere were introduced recently.
This new reality challenges the international strategies of Russian multinational companies (MNCs). The following questions will be discussed at the Round Table:
