St. Petersburg University (SPbU) held the "Rosneft Day" is a career guidance and image event, where students get acquainted with the activities of the company that is the leader of the Russian oil industry and the largest public oil and gas corporation in the world.
The case championship became the central event of the Day. GSOM faculty and the Institute of Geosciences, St. Petersburg University, together with the company's specialists, proposed to solve a practical problem of developing promising oil fields based on the given conditions of the market situation and global trends in the transition to "green energy".
The winners of the case championship will receive 15 personal scholarships of 360 thousands rubles each. Students of the programs "Oil and Gas Business" and "Geology" - Irina Vasilyeva, Dmitry Sharaev, Sergey Afonasenko, Artem Chazov, Alexey Artemenko, Lidia Semyonova, Alsu Aliyeva, Polina Zherebchikova, Alexandra Kulieva, Evgeny Balavina. Young managers include Kirill Kartasidi, Gleb Ilyushkin, Ksenia Isaeva, Maxim Lopatin-Lanskoy and Ekaterina Bilyaeva.

At the event at the Mikhailovskaya Dacha university campus, Deputy Director of the Department of Scientific and Technical Development and Innovation of Rosneft Oil Company Alexander Mitreykin told the students about the key areas of the company's development — mobile high-tech solutions, Arctic expeditions, international initiatives in the field of sustainable development and much more.
Rosneft is a long-time partner of St. Petersburg University. Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of the Management Board, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rosneft Oil Company Igor Sechin is an alumnus of the University, he is also a member of GSOM Advisory Board.
