On November 22, 2021, a new group started their studies in Almaty on The Executive MBA - Strategic Management and Leadership program, which the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) and the Graduate School of Business Almaty Management University (GSB AlmaU) are offering for the third year.

The Executive MBA - Strategic Management and Leadership program is designed for managers and owners of companies who want to move to a new level of decision-making in Management. Its uniqueness lies in combining experience in the implementation of Executive MBA programs at business schools in Russia and Kazakhstan. Students will learn in a modular format. The bulk of the classes will take place on the AlmaU campus. In April 2022, students will come to St. Petersburg for a two-week module. The program will end in September 2023. Students who successfully complete the program will receive two diplomas: from St. Petersburg State University and from AlmaU.

The average age of the participants is 37 years. Most of the program participants run large and medium-sized companies in the mining industry, retail, IT and telecommunications, construction and real estate, oil production, healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry in Kazakhstan.

AlmaU has been a partner of GSOM SPbU since 2017. As part of this cooperation, students of the Executive MBA program can participate in academic exchange programs. Over the past three years, more than 50 students of the joint Executive MBA programs of GSOM SPbU and GSB AlmaU have taken part in these. "
