The Graduate School of Management St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) was included in the prestigious international Financial Times ranking of the best business schools in Europe — European Business School ranking 2021. This year GSOM SPbU took the 57th position out of 95 possible.

The Financial Times evaluates educational institutions based on positions in separate rankings — Master programs, Executive MBA and MBA, as well as corporate programs. This year the GSOM SPbU Master in Management program has risen to the 25th position in the FT Global Masters in Management ranking, starting from number 40 on the list in 2013 — from the moment of the first entry into the ranking.

All these data form the basis for compiling rankings — whether a ranking of the best Master programs, an MBA ranking, or an Executive MBA one. In the process of ranking formation, three criteria play an essential role: a place in the European ranking list, the average salary of alumni three years after graduation, and the percentage of its increase since graduation. For example, the salary growth of GSOM SPbU Master in Management program alumni amounted to 110% this year, but it turned out to be lower than that of other business schools alumni. 

The data for the ranking is taken from a business schools survey, as well as from alumni questionnaires — to enter the list, at least 40% of the group of alumni must answer the FT survey.

The FT European Business School ranking 2021 includes three Russian business schools: GSOM SPbU, the Moscow School of Management "Skolkovo", and the Institute of Business Studies RANEPA.
