The qualifying round of the Modern Manager Olympiad, organized by the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU), has been completed. Of the 1423 participants in the first stage, 108 high school students will be in the finals.
“We are very pleased that high school students are active and pass the Olympiad tests. For them, this is a great opportunity to test their strength, to get acquainted with the profession of a manager and the Business School even before entering. And for us, this is a good way to get to know potential students in advance, establish contact with them and attract the most talented and active — the future leaders of modern business," said Vitaly Mishuchkov, Director of Bachelor Program Office.
The final will take place on February 19 in an online format. Participants will be offered three types of tasks: recording video answers to questions, essays in English and solving cases.
For applicants for admission to the Business School, participation in the Olympiad is an opportunity to receive an additional five points toward admission to GSOM Bachelor programs in 2022, once they have successfully completed two stages — the qualifying round and the final tests.
At the first stage, students solved math problems developed jointly with the partner of the Business School, The Five Plus Educational Center, and logical problems prepared by professors of the Department of Organizational Behavior and Personnel Management.
