The project “Climate Challenges and Development of Sustainable Value Chains in Northern Europe: Opportunities and Competitiveness of Firms in Northwest Russia” was among the winners of the open competition of small research groups 2022-2023. The ideas of the Center for Russian Multinationals and Global Business of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) received funding from the Russian Science Foundation (RSF).
The next two years, a group of researchers from GSOM SPbU will study "green partnerships" – joint strategic programs of foreign companies aimed at solving the problems of sustainable development and the transition to "green" technologies. The staff of the Center will analyze foreign experience and identify opportunities for creating "green partnerships" in relation to Russian business to solve key tasks of the social and economic development of St. Petersburg. In addition to the research itself, the grant will organize outreach activities to improve global value chain policy development in response to new challenges.
The project leader is Andrei Panibratov, Director of the Center for Russian Multinationals and Global Business, Professor of the Department of Strategic and International Management at GSOM SPbU. Key performers: employees of the Department of Strategic and International Management – associate professor Olga Garanina and assistant professor Liubov Ermolaeva, as well as research fellow of the Center Daria Klishevich.
