This spring, as part of the mentoring program Talent Up! A series of ALUMNI SHARE events has started at the Graduate School of Management St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU). Successful managers and professionals who have already graduated from Business School meet with current students at open events offline and online. Alumni talk about their experiences, share knowledge, and informally help representatives of the new generation to dispel fears and doubts related to their future careers.
On April 13, an online workshop, #IamRemarkable was held. Ekaterina Mitusova, an alumna of the Master program "International Business" in 2014, Wrike, coach, co-founder of the TalentUp program! and the facilitator of the global initiative #IamRemarkable told the audience how to accept their achievements and confidently present them.
On April 14, at a webinar about a manager's career in IT companies, students learned about the specifics of working in the industry and talked with senior colleagues. The speakers were Ekaterina Senicheva, an alumna of the Master in Management program of CEMS 2019, and the ML product manager of Yandex.Toloka, Zhanna Azizova, alumna of the Master in Business Analytics and Big Data program, senior data analyst at Bolt, and Mstislav Isakov, graduate of the Master in Management program in 2021, head of the Ozon product team.
On April 16, the first meeting was held at the Mikhailovskaya Dacha campus — a practical master class dedicated to emotions. An alumna of GSOM SPbU in 2017, practicing psychologist, author, and leader of group trainings Maria Brodskaya shared techniques of working with different feelings with the participants.
And already on April 23, the next master class is scheduled at the GSOM SPbU campus, where students of the Business School will be able to try their dance skills. The training will be conducted by Irina Kabanova, an alumna of GSOM SPbU in 2019, a professional dancer, coach, yoga instructor, and author of the project "Charging with Cinnamon."
We thank our alumni for their active contribution to the life of GSOM SPbU and their willingness to share knowledge. Communication between alumni and students; the GSOM Family community is our key value.
