Yuriy Fedotov, Head of the Department of Operations Management at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU), has been appointed Executive Director of GSOM SPbU.
“GSOM SPbU is now facing a difficult task: in a changing and difficult to predict reality, not only to remain one of the best international business schools in Russia and Eastern Europe, but also to continue its effective development, ensuring the achievement of new ambitious goals. Our mission is to create knowledge, develop leaders and changing the world for the better is the cornerstone of GSOM SPbU. The main criterion for its success is the high quality of educational programs, research and applied studies, as well as the demand for alumni in the labor market. Now the latter is especially important for us: it is necessary to help both those who graduate and current students in career development. With the support of GSOM SPbU trustees and partners, we intend to provide all students with educational practices and interesting internships in the summer. Improving the quality of education is a process that never stops, and business representatives who are members of the boards of educational programs are always actively involved in it. Now we will be assisted in this work by the emerging The Teaching Excellence Lab. The research work of the GSOM SPbU teams is no less significant - research and practice must go hand in hand so that the effectiveness of managerial decisions is up to par and in line with current trends.”
