On July 7, the Association of Managers announced the winners of the award "For contribution to the development of ESG in Russia". The event took place as part of the forum “Challenge-2030. Sustainable Development of Regions” at the Moscow Multimedia Center “Russia Today”. In total, 17 representatives of the Russian business community were awarded for personal merits in achieving sustainable development goals.
Yuri Blagov, Director of the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbGU), was awarded for his contribution to providing quality education.
«The implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 - “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all,” - not only makes sense in its own right, but brings an important contribution to the achievement of the entire UN SDGs system, without generating intra-system conflicts. Teaching the principles of sustainable development as such acquires a special role. Today, the academic community faces the most important task: to focus not so much on the creation of particular courses and specialized programs dedicated to the ESG agenda, but on the consistent integration of sustainable development issues into the entire system of courses within the framework of Bachelor, Master, Doctoral, and Executive Education programs. This is the way GSOM SPbU is going.»
