This year GSOM SPbU alumnus Emil Urmanshin entered the European list of "30 under 30" of Forbes in the "Finance" category. The publication's experts annually select successful young people who have the most significant impact on business and society in a variety of areas from entrepreneurship to culture and sports.
Emil Urmanshin graduated from the Graduate School of Management at St Petersburg University in 2016 and after graduation, together with his fellow students, he founded a startup in the field of travel technologies. Emil is currently responsible for building, launching and scaling new businesses for Revolut, a $33 billion UK digital banking fintech company with over 3,500 employees, according to Forbes. Emil joined Revolut as an assistant to founder Nikolai Storonsky in 2019 as part of a special program designed to offer a fast track for talented young people to become leaders.
Together, all the young people on the European 30 under 30 list have raised over $500 million in funding. Most of their companies' headquarters are in the UK, followed by Germany, France, Sweden and the Netherlands. Members of the list work an average of 62 hours a week.
