On July 1-2, the VK fest was held in the 300th Anniversary Park, where guests of the event could get acquainted with the VR technologies of the Research and Educational Center "Digital Technologies in Education" of the GSOM SPbU.

As part of the section, the festival participants were offered to try their hand at the public speaking VR simulator, which is actively used in the training courses of the Graduate School of Management. Having put on VR-glasses forum guests got into a virtual audience and could try their hand at the role of a speaker. Virtual listeners assessed how well the speakers manage to keep eye contact with the audience, whether there are long pauses and filler- words in the speech.

 In addition, participants could move to the Mikhailovskaya Dacha campus in real time — they could walk around the campus and get acquainted with the learning environment on a 360 video tour in a VR helmet. During just two hours of the section, more than 40 people were able to get acquainted with the simulator.

GSOM SPbU took part in the event as a partner of Digital Opera Saint-Petersburg.

Digital Opera Saint-Petersburg is an annual international festival and competition of digital scenography and theater direction for media artists and multimedia directors based on the synthesis of opera and digital art. First organized in 2019 in St. Petersburg and brings together opera and theater stars, theater and multimedia directors, multimedia studios and media artists.
