On September 29–30, Yuri Blagov, Director of the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU), took part in the third Sustainable Development Summit “Siberian Perspective” organized by Norilsk Nickel together with the National Council on Corporate Volunteering at support of the Russian ESG Alliance.
Also, the event partners were the Zapovednoye Embassy charity foundation, the Krasnoyarsk Pillars national park and the Bobrovy Log fun park. The summit traditionally held in Krasnoyarsk became one of the key events of the federal agenda in the field of responsible consumption and brought together representatives of the expert community, government agencies and NGOs, managers and volunteers of leading Russian companies.
Yuri Blagov took part in a panel discussion on the topic “Secrets of success of volunteer projects.” In his speech, he emphasized that corporate volunteering not only helps solve social and environmental problems, but can also create significant and diverse value for employees and the company as a whole. The task of management is to understand the multi-purpose essence of corporate volunteering and create a cross-functional system for its organization and evaluation.
